Do I need an appointment?
For outpatient clinics, appointments are recommended but not required. Walk-ins are welcome. For specialist clinics (orthopaedics, paediatrics, obstetrics), appointments help us plan.
How do I make an appointment?
Call us, email appointments@michoes.app, or visit our reception in person.
What if I have an emergency?
Come directly to our emergency department – open 24/7. Do not wait for an appointment. If you are unable to travel, call us and we will advise.
Do you treat children?
Yes. Our paediatrician and paediatric nursing team care for children from birth to adolescence.
Do you offer home visits?
Limited home visits are available for patients who are too sick to travel (e.g., palliative care, disabled patients). Call us to discuss.
Do you have a pharmacy?
Yes. Our pharmacy is open 24 hours. We dispense both prescription and over-the-counter medicines.
Can I get a referral to a bigger hospital?
Yes. For conditions we cannot treat (e.g., complex cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, advanced cancer treatment), we refer to Mbale Regional Referral Hospital, Soroti Regional Referral Hospital, or hospitals in Kampala.
Do you accept international visitors?
Yes. International patients are welcome. Please email international@michoes.app for specific guidance.
Do you have accommodation for family members?
We do not have overnight guest rooms, but family members can stay in the patient’s room (folding bed provided). For long-term stays, we can suggest nearby guesthouses.
How can I support Michoes Medical Centre?
Donations (medical equipment, supplies, or funds) are welcome. Contact sponsors@michoes.app. You can also volunteer your professional skills (healthcare or non-healthcare).
